Application for a faculty for the alterations to the base of the pulpit.
During the restoration of the pulpit c1880 it is likely that it acquired its present base which, unlike the reminder of the pulpit is not made from oak and the proportions give it a rather top-heavy appearance. Because of this the pulpit is unstable and not liked by preachers therefore the PCC has agreed to replace the base with one which will give the pulpit more stability and more attractive proportions.
The new work, including a new handrail, will be made from oak to match the historic joinery of the rest of the pulpit. Further details of the work involved can be had by contacting Peter Brown (email@example.com)
If you wish to object to any of the work or proposals you should send an email statingthe grounds of your objection to the Diocesan Registrar (firstname.lastname@example.org) so that your email reaches the registrar not later than 08/07/2020. An email of objection must include your name and address and state whether you live in the parish and/or your name is entered on the church electoral roll of the parish or any other basis on which you have an interest in the matter.
