Bury the Alleluia!

There was a Medieval tradition (which has continued in some places) to bury the Alleluia during Lent. We’re all used to it not being part of our worship during this time, but the practice for burying the Alleluia actually saw it buried in the churchyard.

In this more modern age, we have ‘buried’ a recording of a specially composed Alleluia on the internet, to be released on Easter Day. The recording will also be used as part of the Easter Day worship at St Stephen’s Church.

The link to the buried video is below – it will become available on Easter Day!
